Katie Diehl

DVM, MS, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists

Dr. Diehl completed a dual degree program and received her DVM in 2000 and an MS in Veterinary Biosciences in 1999 from The Ohio State University. She then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia in 2001, followed by a residency in comparative ophthalmology and combined fellowship in cellular biology at the University of Wisconsin in 2005. She was then an assistant clinical professor of comparative ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota before moving back to Madison and joining Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care. She also serves as a visiting faculty clinical ophthalmologist at Auburn University in Alabama. Outside of work, Katie and her husband Jeff keep busy with their Labrador and four cats. In addition, they are avid cyclists and recreational triathletes, Katie having completed five Madison, WI Ironman triathlons in '03, '04 '06, '08 and '09 and three in Louisville, KY in '07, '08 and '10.
